    • Road tested up Wailuku Heights and felt misfire under load. No check engine light on, and check engine light does not come on for bulb check. Bulb probably removed. Scan for fault codes: misfire faults for #3 and #4 cylinders, also faults for secondary air and ambient temp. Remove air cleaner housing, coils, and spark plugs to inspect. Plugs are worn and should be changed, also need to at least replace #3 &#4 coils.
    • Install new spark plugs and coils. Reinstall air cleaner housing. Clear fault codes and road test while monitoring misfire data with scan tool – no misfires occurred, and no misfire faults returned.

    • Found coolant level low and only water. Raise on hoist to inspect – looks like fairly new waterpump and coolant reservoir. Pressure test cooling system and found leaking from lower radiator hose fitting at radiator end. Needs to be replaced.
    • Perform vehicle module scan for fault codes, these are TCM codes: P071300 Transmission fluid temperature sensor A circuit high Passive/Sporadic P071000 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor 'A' Circuit Passive/Sporadic U041500 Invalid data received from ,ABS control unit Passive/Sporadic All faults are stored and trans temp sensor freeze frame data indicate they occurred a couple weeks ago. Review test plan for sensor faults show that a stable trans fluid temperature is required. So these codes may be related to the engine temp concern. Recommend rechecking after coolant leak repaired. Print out fault codes and clear faults.
