Raise on hoist to inspect for rattle sound on initial take off from stop, found exhaust bracket hitting. Reposition exhaust bracket and road test – ok.

2011 Ford Escape

Used scope to look at injector voltage and current waveforms. Found cylinder 1 injector current waveform had a fault, cylinder 1 injector amperage is lower than the other injectors indicating an internal electrical fault with the injector. Power and ground OK at injector. Pulled fuel rail to check resistance on all fuel Injectors. Cylinder 1 Injector resistance out of specifications. Cylinder 1 injector replacement needed to fix misfire, all injectors are recommended to be replaced as well.
- Removed Intake manifold to access fuel Injectors. Removed and replaced all fuel Injectors. Test drove vehicle to confirm misfire went away.
