2011 Toyota Tacoma

- SERVICE SPECIAL – 5 QUARTS OF OIL, FILTER AND 28 POINT VEHICLE INSPECTION.
- Removed negative battery terminal. Removed horn pad/airbag assembly from steering wheel. Marked and removed steering wheel. Removed steering wheel and steering column covers. Unplugged spiral cable assembly and removed assembly. Installed new spiral cable assembly, reinstalled components. Verified horn now operates normally. Started vehicle and airbag light now illuminates. Scanned vehicle for fault codes, found code B1811 D Squib circuit open. The code is current/active and will not clear. This is a open circuit in the drivers airbag squib. This code indicates a problem with the new aftermarket clockspring. It is unknown if the vehicles safety systems (and airbag deployment) will function as designed and it is highly recommended to get a new clockspring/spiral cable from a certified Toyota parts dealer.

- Hooked up AC machine to vehicle system. Recovered AC system refrigerant. Recovered 0.63 lbs of refrigerant. Full system capacity us 1.32 lbs. Replaced both service port valves. Pumped and held system under vacuum. Added leak detection dye/oil to system. Charged system with 1.33 lbs of refrigerant. Performance test passed.
- DISC ROTOR – Remove & Replace – Front,Both – [Includes: Repack Wheel Bearings (where applicable) and replace Pads (if necessary). DOES NOT include refinishing.]
- Complete brake system flush.
- Removed glovebox. Removed connector for door actuator. Removed door actuator from housing and linkage. Installed new actuator. Verified actuator operates normally. Reinstalled components.
- Performed power steering flush from reservoir.
- Drained and filled fluid from transfer case, cleaned residual fluid.
- Disconnected/removed wiring harnesses from intake air tube and valve cover. Removed intake air tube. Removed ignition coils, removed valve cover assembly. Cleaned sealing surfaces. Removed old gaskets from valve cover. Installed new gaskets to valve cover. Applied sealant to specified area on cylinder head. Installed valve cover. Removed and replaced spark plugs. Reinstalled components. Verified no leaks present at this time. Degreased engine of old oil leak.
- Removed and replaced both front brake hoses. Bled front brakes. Verified no leaks present.

2014 Subaru Forester

Scanned vehicle for fault codes, found code p2763 lock up duty solenoid circuit high. Referenced wiring diagram for transmission. Accessed connector T4 for the transmission. Unplugged connector, performed resistance test from wire going to lock up duty solenoid to ground. Measured 80 ohms, resistance is out of specifications (spec is 13 ohms). Compared to primary up solenoid as a reference, resistance is within specifications on the primary up solenoid. Lock up duty solenoid resistance is out of specifications which is causing the circuit high fault code in the TCM. The valve body will need to be replaced to fix the transmission fault.

2018 Toyota Tacoma
Mileage63,214Service Date1/23/2026Services Performed- Started vehicle while cold, verified customer complaint. Noise faded and went away fairly quickly, found that when manipulating the belt tensioner, the noise would occur. Inspected serpentine belt and components. Found a large amount of belt fragments near the belt and stuck in the grooves of components/pulleys. The belt has been replaced but the pulleys and grooves have not been properly cleaned. Released and locked tensioner, removed belt. Cleaned each groove in every pulley of the stuck fragments from the old belt. Found upper idler pulleys are worn and the bearings are making noise. Replaced idler pulleys and belt, reinstalled components. Started vehicle and the noise was not present. If the noise continues to return it is recommended that we try to isolate the noise further, the hydraulic fan clutch seemed to have more play than normal and could be a culprit.
- Perform a 28 point inspection
- Removed serpentine belt, removed both upper idler pulleys. Installed new idler pulleys, installed new serpentine belt.

- Verified there is a groaning/whine noise. Noise is only present with AC on, changes pitch with RPM. Used a stethoscope to pinpoint noise. Noise may be from the AC compressor or expansion valve. Hooked AC machine to system to check pressures. Refrigerant may be low based on performance test. Recovered refrigerant and found that the system only had 0.45 lbs. Full system capacity is 1.35 lbs. Replaced service port valves, held system under vacuum. Charged system with 1.35 lbs of refrigerant. Performance tested system, pressures OK, vent temp OK. Noise is no longer present.
