SERVICE SPECIAL – 5 QUARTS OF OIL, FILTER AND 28 POINT VEHICLE INSPECTION.
Removed negative battery terminal. Removed horn pad/airbag assembly from steering wheel. Marked and removed steering wheel. Removed steering wheel and steering column covers. Unplugged spiral cable assembly and removed assembly. Installed new spiral cable assembly, reinstalled components. Verified horn now operates normally. Started vehicle and airbag light now illuminates. Scanned vehicle for fault codes, found code B1811 D Squib circuit open. The code is current/active and will not clear. This is a open circuit in the drivers airbag squib. This code indicates a problem with the new aftermarket clockspring. It is unknown if the vehicles safety systems (and airbag deployment) will function as designed and it is highly recommended to get a new clockspring/spiral cable from a certified Toyota parts dealer.
RECIR FLAPPER NOT WORKING PROPERLY ON HEATER CONTROLS

Hooked up AC machine to vehicle system. Recovered AC system refrigerant. Recovered 0.63 lbs of refrigerant. Full system capacity us 1.32 lbs. Replaced both service port valves. Pumped and held system under vacuum. Added leak detection dye/oil to system. Charged system with 1.33 lbs of refrigerant. Performance test passed.
DISC ROTOR – Remove & Replace – Front,Both – [Includes: Repack Wheel Bearings (where applicable) and replace Pads (if necessary). DOES NOT include refinishing.]
Complete brake system flush.
Removed glovebox. Removed connector for door actuator. Removed door actuator from housing and linkage. Installed new actuator. Verified actuator operates normally. Reinstalled components.
Performed power steering flush from reservoir.
Drained and filled fluid from transfer case, cleaned residual fluid.
Disconnected/removed wiring harnesses from intake air tube and valve cover. Removed intake air tube. Removed ignition coils, removed valve cover assembly. Cleaned sealing surfaces. Removed old gaskets from valve cover. Installed new gaskets to valve cover. Applied sealant to specified area on cylinder head. Installed valve cover. Removed and replaced spark plugs. Reinstalled components. Verified no leaks present at this time. Degreased engine of old oil leak.
Removed and replaced both front brake hoses. Bled front brakes. Verified no leaks present.

Started vehicle while cold, verified customer complaint. Noise faded and went away fairly quickly, found that when manipulating the belt tensioner, the noise would occur. Inspected serpentine belt and components. Found a large amount of belt fragments near the belt and stuck in the grooves of components/pulleys. The belt has been replaced but the pulleys and grooves have not been properly cleaned. Released and locked tensioner, removed belt. Cleaned each groove in every pulley of the stuck fragments from the old belt. Found upper idler pulleys are worn and the bearings are making noise. Replaced idler pulleys and belt, reinstalled components. Started vehicle and the noise was not present. If the noise continues to return it is recommended that we try to isolate the noise further, the hydraulic fan clutch seemed to have more play than normal and could be a culprit.

Removed and replaced the front strut assembly on both sides of the vehicle and test drove the vehicle.
Removed the intake plenum, removed the ignition coils, removed and replaced all 6 sparkplugs, replaced 3 of the ignition coil boots, reinstalled the ignition coils, replaced the plenum gaskets, installed the intake plenum, test drove vehicle and checked for any faults.
Lifted vehicle to perform alignment. Adjusted front and rear toe into recommended specifications. Test drove vehicle to confirm steering wheel is straight.

Found that the lower bearings (for lower mount) on the Icon coilovers are making noise, passenger side bearing is damaged (coilover lower mount is misaligned). Lubricant has been applied and quieted the noise temporarily. The main seal on the passenger side coilover is leaking so it is recommended that the coilovers be replaced.

Complete brake system flush.
Drained coolant from radiator, drained coolant from engine block. Vacuum filled cooling system, performed coolant air bleed procedure. Topped off coolant, verified no leaks present.
Scanned vehicle for fault codes, found codes B1785 and 1786 in the occupant classification module. These codes are for the front left and front right seat crash detection sensors stating that there may have been a collision. These codes lock out the occupant classification module from detecting passenger presence or collision detection. Confirmed with live data the weight scales in each seat are not responding. Performed zero point calibration using scan tool, cleared codes. Performed occupant classification sensitivity check test. Test passed. Verified codes no longer return and occupant detection functioning normally. Airbag light did not return at this time.
Removed front skid plates. Removed fill plug and drain plug to drain differential fluid. Cleaned drain plug magnet and reinstalled. Filled fluid using fluid pump. Reinstalled fill plug, cleaned residual fluid, reinstalled skid plates.
Removed differential fill and drain plug to drain fluid. Cleaned drain plug magnet and reinstalled. Filled differential fluid and cleaned residual fluid.
Drained transmission fluid. Measured drained amount, filled transmission with drained amount of new fluid ~3.5 qts. Connected scan tool to monitor transmission fluid temperature for fluid level adjustment. Started vehicle and ran until transmission reached specified temperature. Removed overflow drain plug to drain excess fluid. Reinstalled components and cleaned residual fluid.

Hooked up AC machine to vehicle AC system. No pressure in system. Recovered system, no refrigerant in system. Replaced service port valves. Pulled system under vacuum with pump for 40 minutes, held system under vacuum for 30 minutes. Found that system did not hold vacuum verifying that their is still a leak present. Turned on blower motor in vehicle and could smell the odor of refrigerant. Confirmed the evaporator core is leaking and will need to be replaced.

Removed intake tube, hoses, wiring harness away from valve cover. Removed ignition coils, removed valve cover. Cleaned sealing surface of residue and old sealant. Added FIPG sealant to specified area of cylinder head, installed valve cover with new gaskets, torqued to specifications. Reinstalled components with new spark plugs.
Removed fan clutch hardware, cooling fan shroud, serpentine belt and cooling fan. Removed fan blades from old fan clutch and installed to new fan clutch. Reinstalled components with new belt.
Removed both old rear brake lines, bent new brake lines to match factory bends, installed fittings to line ends and double flared ends. Installed lines to vehicle with factory mounting brackets. Bled brake system and verified no leaks present at lines. Found brake bleeder screws are leaking on both sides. Replaced brake bleeder screws and rechecked for leaks. Wheel cylinders won't stop leaking from bleeder screws. Removed and replaced wheel cylinders and adjusted brake shoes. Road tested and brakes are functioning better than when originally dropped off.
Removed brackets for power steering hoses. Removed power steering hose from pump and steering rack, installed new hose. Added fluid to power steering reservoir. Bled air from power steering system. Topped off fluid and verified no leaks present.
