- Scan PCM for fault codes – stored P0128 (thermostat rationality), freeze frame data shows this last occured at 41115 miles. This fault is caused by a thermostat being stuck open and will need to be replaced. No TSB's for this concern. Clear fault code.
- Raise on hoist. Drain coolant. Remove and reinstall: radiator hoses, heater hoses, throttle body bracket, and PCM. Replace thermostat housing with thermostat. Refill coolant and verify fan operation. Road test – ok.
