Services Performed
- Hooked up AC machine to vehicle AC system. No pressure in system. Recovered system, no refrigerant in system. Replaced service port valves. Pulled system under vacuum with pump for 40 minutes, held system under vacuum for 30 minutes. Found that system did not hold vacuum verifying that their is still a leak present. Turned on blower motor in vehicle and could smell the odor of refrigerant. Confirmed the evaporator core is leaking and will need to be replaced.
- Perform a 28 point inspection
- Removed intake tube, hoses, wiring harness away from valve cover. Removed ignition coils, removed valve cover. Cleaned sealing surface of residue and old sealant. Added FIPG sealant to specified area of cylinder head, installed valve cover with new gaskets, torqued to specifications. Reinstalled components with new spark plugs.
- Removed fan clutch hardware, cooling fan shroud, serpentine belt and cooling fan. Removed fan blades from old fan clutch and installed to new fan clutch. Reinstalled components with new belt.
- Removed both old rear brake lines, bent new brake lines to match factory bends, installed fittings to line ends and double flared ends. Installed lines to vehicle with factory mounting brackets. Bled brake system and verified no leaks present at lines. Found brake bleeder screws are leaking on both sides. Replaced brake bleeder screws and rechecked for leaks. Wheel cylinders won't stop leaking from bleeder screws. Removed and replaced wheel cylinders and adjusted brake shoes. Road tested and brakes are functioning better than when originally dropped off.
- Removed brackets for power steering hoses. Removed power steering hose from pump and steering rack, installed new hose. Added fluid to power steering reservoir. Bled air from power steering system. Topped off fluid and verified no leaks present.
- Drained coolant. Removed intake manifold assembly. Removed old coolant bypass pipe, cleaned sealing surface. Installed new metal coolant bypass pipe with gasket. Reinstalled components with new intake manifold gaskets. Added coolant, performed coolant bleed procedure. Verified no leaks present.
